Q: When in your life did you do the hardest or most thankless work?

FIRST READ: Romans 6:15-23

Q: In verses 15 & 16, how do people misunderstand the doctrine of God’s grace? Is it difficult to comprehend the perversion of the doctrine of grace?

Q: In verse 16, we are given the choice of serving one of two masters. What are the two masters? What is the result of serving either one of the two masters?

Q: Where do we all begin? Who is our natural master from birth until salvation or death?

Q: Are we ever freed from servanthood? What happens when we are freed from slavery to sin? (v. 18) How does obeying “righteousness” cause us to experience abundant life (John 10:10)?

Q: In verse 19, does it seem like we have “free will” choices to make in serving either sin or righteousness? Where do we find strength to do the things that please God?
