Q: If you’ve been baptized, what did your baptism mean to you?

FIRST READ: Romans 6:1-11

Q: Have you ever been tempted to sin knowing that your sin is covered by God’s grace? Does the knowledge that grace is multiplied to cover all of the believer’s sin bring you comfort? Increase your gratitude? Give you a sense of accountability? (v. 6:1)

Q: Paul’s use of “absolutely not” is an emphatic command. Are you surprised to learn that there are Christians who still desire to live a sinful lifestyle in opposition to God’s will? What is it that motivates you to put your sin to death each day? (v. 2)

Q: What is the great promise pictured in baptism? (vs. 3, 4) What does it mean to “walk in newness of life?” Is this real for you?

Q: What does baptism represent in the life of a believer? (v. 5)

Q: We were enslaved to sin before we trusted Christ for salvation, and we are now free from sin! What does this mean to you? And, who is your Master now? (v. 6, 7)
