Centerpoint is Family
Read: Ephesians 1:3-14
For many years Bill Gates was the richest man in the world. However, because of his genius idea and brilliant execution of that idea, Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, holds the title of the richest man in the world. Mr. Bezos currently has $131 billion. And that number keeps climbing. He is the CEO of Amazon and still holds 16% of the company. The more popular Amazon becomes, the more wealthy Jeff Bezos becomes.
I find myself fantasizing what it would be like to have that much money. It seems like such a large amount of money couldn’t even be spent and wasted by the most careless spender. It’s a mind boggling amount of money! But then I began to think, “what if $131 billion was shared equally among the 7 billion people alive?” Then I did the math, and suddenly $131 billion didn’t seem that impressive.
Did you know that Jesus bought His Church? Did you know that the cost of us was His life, something much more valuable than $131 billion. God has redeemed us with “the riches of His grace which He richly poured out on us.” God bought you at an extremely high price, and it didn’t take an ounce out of the riches He has! Wow! That’s an awesome God.
Because we have been redeemed, we are now a family. We are brothers and sisters in Christ! Come this Sunday as we study the Scriptures together.
See you there,
Pastor Luke
