Q: Apart from your salvation, what’s the greatest gift you’ve ever received? Who gave it to you?

FIRST READ: II Corinthians 9:1-8

Q: Why did Paul say that it was “unnecessary” to write to the Christians in Corinth about giving? (9:1)

Q: How did the Corinthian’s generosity “stir up” the Macedonian Christians? (v. 2)

Q: Explain the simple principle described in verse 6. How does this apply to financial gifts?

Q: Who should tell you how much to give? (v. 7) What should our attitude in giving be? What two attitudes should we avoid when it comes to financial generosity?

Q: Why should we trust God with our giving? (v. 8) What will overflow in our lives when we give? 

Q: God makes two promises to those who give regularly and generously - what does God promise? (v. 8) How does financial generosity connect with excelling in “every good work?” (v. 8)
